RootsHQ was started based on three truths:

1. People across the country, and around the world, believe in the same principles that inspired America’s founders. Freedom and opportunity are still hallmarks of the American Dream, and the American Dream is still alive and well.
2. They are disappointed in national politics — the name calling, attacks on our freedoms, unquenchable thirst for power, and inability to maintain a functional but restrained federal government.
3. They want to make a difference but don’t know where to start.

RootsHQ is a resource for people who are ready to stop yelling and want to DO SOMETHING. We do this by aggregating events, organizations, and resources related to the same principles that inspired America’s founders.

Lots of worthwhile groups need your time, talent, and treasure. But also, lots of scam artists just want to pick your pocket. Some want to make a real impact, but some just want to build their own name.

For Americans who are sick of the shouting, fighting, and chaos in politics today, and who simply want the government to do a few things but do them well, RootsHQ offers a way to get connected with local organizations and activities to make a real difference. The platform also provides access to the best training resources available so new activists have the confidence to stand up to their school board or city council, join civic boards, and run for office.
