It's Friday everyone!!! We've been having some fun with our Friday Daily Reports, so I hope you are enjoying our humorous take on our industry as much as we are. Today will be no different. First we have a great lesson about using social media from the one, the only, Yoda. Moving on to more advice from a fictional character, we bring you a guide to social media from the Mad Man, Don Draper. (As a Mad Men fan, I especially enjoyed this one.) Good afternoon everyone! We are taking it easy on you this Hump Day. We have a video, a map and one article for you today. We have decreased your efforts but there is no shortage of knowledge here today. So sit back and check out today's Daily Report. We'll begin with the video since it is Hump Day and there is less work involved in watching versus reading. Hear from New York Times Technology Columnist David Pogue as he discusses where mobile is going. Next, we have an article that discusses the success of your TV spots in web video. And finally, we wanted to show you a map from Google that tracks the 2010 election ratings. This is all a part of Google's effort to "make it easier to track the daily changes in the political landscape".

Good afternoon everyone! Most people would contest that there is a direct correlation between the amount of Facebook fans a candidate has to the amount of votes they receive, but Tuesday night's primaries may have proved just that. Also, we have discussed in a previous post the importance of securing your domain names to make sure they don't fall into the wrong hands. Unfortunately, some law makers aren't paying close enough attention. FInally, are you aware of the "My Government on Demand" channel?

The New Twitter and what it means for you

Ally Parsons - Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Twitter said it best, "Life doesn't always fit into 140 characters or less". The new Twitter.com will allow your "overflow" to be seen. Our Daily Reports often feature articles addressing the importance of using multimedia tools such as YouTube and live-stream videos for your campaign or organization. The new Twitter will allow for instantaneous viewing of your multimedia posts. Some of our RootsHQ clients have expressed their preference to update their Facebook Page versus their Twitter account because they believe more information is accessible on Facebook. This is no longer the case.
