Welcome back to the work week. I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend! Usually when we talk about video we are discussing recorded and edited video placed on YouTube. Today we are talking about live online video and it's rise in popularity. Also, we want to bring a search engine to your attention that will help you sift through Twitter and Facebook updates to find what you are looking for. Finally, Outlook users can now get real-time social network updates while checking their email.
Live online video watching is on the rise: Carly Fiorina, the Republican Senate nominee in California, took to live online video using Ustream to share some thoughts with voters earlier last week. Americans are spending more and more time watching these types of live videos, so it may be something your campaign should consider trying.
Search Facebook and Twitter in real-time: If you haven't tried Kurrently yet you might want to. Search whatever key terms or combination of terms you want and see your results in real-time. You can use it to search a specific issue or a candidates name.
Attention Outlook users: Since July, users of Microsoft Outlook can download Outlook Social Connector to see real-time social network activity with the ones you email with.
